Hey guys,

I've recently decided to start designing a multiplayer map for Call of Duty, and I'm amazed at how incridibly hard it is to get started.

Thanks to some of your tutorials and forums, many of my basic problems have been solved, but I can't seem to find a solution to this one on the forums/tutorials, so I thought I'd start a new topic. Now to the point:

I start a map (this is probably the third map file I'm starting, even though I haven't gone further than doing a skybox and a basic terrain), do the skybox, add worldspawn values and deathmatch spawn/intermission and I compile it for the first time (using CoD Builder). When I test it, everything seems to work fine.

So I got back to CoD Radiant and proceed to changing and adding more elements such as resizing the skybox and terrain, and adding a road to the middle of the terrain.
I compile it again, and when the map loads... nothing has changed.

I have read lots of other topics about the same problem, and tried doing what was said in these topics, but nothing seemed to work.
I tried deleting the old .bsp files (and all of the other files related to the map) and compiling it again, and nothing.

The weirdest part is that only the first compilation seems to be working. Whenever I start a new map and do exactly what I did with the last map and then try to test it, it works fine. What didn't show on the second compile/test of the last map shows perfectly on the first compile/test of a new map.

I don't think it can be a problem with brushes or anything like that, since I have nothing but a skybox with a flat, basic 6-faced brush as a terrain covered with a solid texture.

Here's the compile log... It's in Portuguese (I'm from Brazil), but I think the important parts are readable. Let me know if there's anything you don't understand.

Your bsp compile doesnt seem to be running properly, there doesnt seem to be much going on in it... Also check out Entity 0, brush 2:

Try remaking it or check for any dodgy vertex editing...

This is the error. It means brush #2 is too big. Find it using the Misc -> Find Brush and cut it into two pieces. Recompile and see fi you;ve got more of those errors comming by. if so... repeat, repeat, repeat.

You're right, Caretaker. I didn't know brushes couldn't be too big, so I had huge brushes on the skybox and the terrain. I cut them into pieces and it worked.

Thanks for the help, I'll let you know if I have any more problems. [thumbs_up]
