So I can get on my map and practice by myself but how do I get it to be a playable version were other people can play???
Oh ya and can anyone explain why my ladders are not visible??

to make your map so other ppl can play it...put your map in a pk3 and make it availbale for download

you need to put your map into a pk3 file (check the tutorials on this site). As for the ladder:

Build your ladder out of regular brushes with whatever texture you want. Then put a brush around that ladder and texture it common/ladder. The ladder texture allows you to climb, but its up to you to create the object that you are climbing.

COOL my ladders work perfectly but I'm haveing trouble finding the tutorial that shows me how to make my map playable.

Or if you simply want to test your map with other, give the selected people yourmap.bsp, host a server... wola !

I dont think autodownload works with just a .bsp file, in other words you must give your map to others they cant autodownload from your server unless its in PK3 form .. i think

OK so after I put it in to my main folder how do I run it the same way I test it???

If you've created an arena file the map should appear in your selection list (when creating server) for the gametypes you've allowed. (It may not appear if you have too many maps in your directory).

Well I'm not sure how to make an arena file?? And as far as to many maps how exactally does a person get rid of some maps?? Sorry for any trouble I may be stiring up with all the silly questions its just that its my first map and I've only owned a computer for about two months. Just tryin to do things right.
