Hey Everyone,

I'm new to mapping so I've probably made a stupid mistake but:

I ran the compiler, and located my CoD2, It found my custom map, I click compile and it opens the cmd boxes, does loads of commands, the box closes and I get no .bsp, if I click run selected map it resumes the campaign.

HELP ANYONE?! [banghead]

Thanks in advance.

Ok, Using a pause I put in the .bat I worked out what was wrong (the .map file was in the wrong place).

Now when I click compile the cmd window opens, Takes about 10 minutes doing what it does, it says lighting is 100% complete. Then sits there, after about 5 minutes it disappears with no trace of a .bsp or d3dbsp.

Any advice? Thanks.

Hi,where are you looking for the bsp?..
It should be located in the Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main/maps/mp folder
If not then can you post your compile log..
Cheers.. [wave]

How do I copy it out of the command window?

And, If I click 'Run selected map' then it starts CoD2, but crashes and says:

"Error during initialization.
Couldn't find a spawn point"

I have spawn points (3 TDM, 3 DM and a global intermission)..
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [banghead]

Thanks

maybe it helps to delete all spawnpoinst and use only for test purpose 1 dm and a gb-intermission one
post your settings on compiler
post your compile log
does a smaller testmap compile? (with 1 brush, 1 spawnpoint and a light?)

Instead of running map from compiler, try just starting the game..Then open console and type:-
devmap mp_yourmapname

To copy compile log, just select all'copy'(then ctrl and c)..
Then paste(ctrl v) that into a new notepad file and save.
