i have a custom bomb plant basically a coffin how would i add like lightning or flashes to the explosion while its blowing up. i want to change the default explosion to another fx.

The FX for the SD Explosion used is here:

maps/mp_maps/fx_mp_exp_bomb


You can edit it and add to a mod but im guessing this FX might be used for other Gametype as well... in this case it is best to edit the SD script directly, look for this line:

level._effect["bombexplosion"] = loadfx("maps/mp_maps/fx_mp_exp_bomb");


Its at the very start of the /raw/maps/mp/gametypes/sd.gsc stock file.
