Just got around to listening to this today. Just thought I'd comment on the DLC that was discussed for BO.

If it also included another SP campaign similar to how addons used to be like UO. Then it would be work the additional cost. In fact I would be willing to pay more.

As it stands, the current DLC I will not pay for a couple of maps that historically we always received for free. To me I would consider paying $5...but I don't play it enough to warrent the extra content. I enjoy it but it has not captivated me like previous CODs.

There is that question, when they release the modtools (have to be optimistic), as they are charging for the map packs and still controlling the server content. They must be going to have to QA any maps made and release them in a community style map pack. (speculation here)

Now if this occurred and mappers get a cut of the DLC and get there map out there as apart of a developer sanctioned map pack...that will would be worth considering!

I'd agree with you Eladd that if they were including addition SP gameplay, it would be worth the cost. However the MP content that they are providing is not worth the additional $15 (or there abouts).

As for them EVER considering giving modders a cut for their contributions, you are kidding yourself. I'm not trying to be mean here, but they don't care about you. Remember, everything you make with those mod tools belongs to them (according the the EULA). And with that in mind, I could actually see them charging YOU to get your content out to the world.
