how do you make side walks? thanks

Thad depents on the road. If you have a street out of a brush then you make your sidewalk also out of a brush. If you have a road out of a mesh then best is to make the side walk also out of a mesh.

Just make a sidewalk as it is in real live just a small road a bit higer then the roal next to it. A straigt street made out a brush whith a straigt side walk next to it also made out of a brush is verry easy to make. But a road and sitewalk out of mesh is realy tricky to make.

Mesh road
Fist make the road ( I made a mesh 9 by 15) --> cut the side walk of the road so you have 3 mesh, 1 = 7 by 15 the road the outer two became the side walk form 1 by 15 --> select 1 side walk and hit spacebar --> now connect 1 site to the road an 1 site to the sidewalk so the side walk is a bit higer then the road and is still conneced to it.
