I guess that what it really all comes down to is that you need to follow your heart.

If you want to buy the DLC and continue enjoying a game that you enjoy enough to buy the DLC then do it. Be happy with your choices because no matter what some people preach and whine about it still comes down to freedom of choice. If you enjoy something enough to want to continue with new material then by all means do so and feel good about it.

If you dont like a game then you would be foolish to buy anything new for it or support it in any manner. That is the freedom of choice thing again and following your heart.

With the BO DLC upon us it will split this community a bit more. We will discover who still enjoys the game enough to support it in some small manner and those that have truly had enough with it. My best wishes to both sides and I do respect their choices.

It will be interesting to see how many of you that dont buy it end up buying it while waiting for those saviour games to come out at some undisclosed date. What would be even more interesting is to see how many of you are honest about it.

Mappers United will be updating their server rotation with the new maps and as is our policy we will allow the freedom of choice to choose to play the new maps or not. I think that our regulars who play will not be inconvenienced too much if they dont buy the DLC because it is my hope that the new maps will play back to back so that the original 14 can play straight through. With the general speed in which the maps are normally played to completion those without the new maps can go take a walk, bathroom break, rake the lawn and then come back and try to rejoin the server when the original maps come back up.

anybody who buys this now is just sending the message that Activision can treat the PC like sh*t, with no consequences.

to make us wait 3 extra weeks for no reason, and hold back a patch and give us 4 days notice is a disgrace! [sad] they were advertising it for the xbox at xmas ffs!

If you follow CODBO a little you would know that Xbox360 gets a preference over PS3 and PC for DLC, they have exclusivity contracts that means they get it first for at least 4 weeks. PC DLC was meant to be earlier from what i gather only for "technical problems" delaying it. What you gonna do? You anyway dont sound like someone who would have bought it 3 weeks ago either, same goes for a good few in the thread.

Its no surprise the DLC isnt free, I think anyone following COD would have seen it coming, i certainly did. Is it worth the $2-$3 per maps? I guess thats up to individual to judge, mostly depending on you playing and liking the game and wanting new maps.

Activision really are trying to get every fragment of coin in your wallet these days, i would not be the least bit surprised if the game is pay2play (like an MMO)

I'd have definately considered buying it 3 weeks ago had we been treated equally to the PS3 players....the price isn't the issue for me, expensive as it is! [cool] its the deliberate holding back thats turned me right off it!

"technical reasons" my arse! [lol] more like Activision wanted to take the shine off the Crysis 2 release, and decided taking the p*ss outta PC players was an acceptable way of doing that. [rolleyes]

I guess we can give up hope to get real mod tools for this game.. I already lost interest in playing, only got it still installed because of the promise of mod tools. And frankly, the system they have in place for servers makes it that more difficult to implement any custom maps easily..

Yep, it is time to start learn mapping for RO:HOS [casanova]

You probably won't see mod tools until a while after Activision sees the amount of green they want for the DLC, if ever.

They may get away with Xbox users paying for DLC for COD but there is noway I will be.

Unfortunatly because of the technical issues with this game playing smoothly I have not played it in months.

Only reason BO is still in installed is I actually like the zombie mode.

Back to BFBC2 I go...
