Just thought I'd contribute here cuz noone else is lol!

Anyways, I have the Doom III Alpha. I am running it on my P4 2.53, 120 gb hd, 512 ddr, Radeon 9700 Pro, with 4 speakers built in sub virtual surrond sound. The game, at full screen, shows not the greatest quality (as opposed to windowed) and also has some slowdown (only when multiple monsters are on-screen while firing), but I can assure you the pure atmosphere of this game is horrific. I could go on for hours of the 3 levels included in the alpha (which, upon request, i will!), but all you need to know is its worth the wait and worth your cash! Its an experience like nothing I've ever seen in a FPS, realtime effects and cut-scenes that are nothing short of unreal, and I'm not talking about the game, I'm talking about the word used to describe something out of this world! Even in its aplha stage, this game blows almost everything out of the water.

But thats just my opinion, who really cares anyways!?

As the responsible moderator that I am.. I must point out that using warez is a very bad thing and we here at MODSonline and GDConnect cannot condone such activity.

As a hardcore gamer..... cool! [casanova]

yep i thought the atmospshere was terrific, particulary the bit where the monster bashes through the pipes 80. the dynamic lighting was also good, but many games have this now. check out the far cry engine video. i think the difference with doom 3 and other games will be the like life monsters and creepy atmosphere... BOO! [biggrin]
