this is what i have:

Prison.pk3

inside that i have a 'maps' folder and a textures 'folder'

inside the 'maps' folder there is a 'mp' folder and i have my 'Prison.bsp'

inside the 'textures' folder i have all my textures

i placed the 'Prison.pk3' in my main folder

BUT it does not show up in list of maps on start new server

the tut doesn't say i need anything else it just says "If you have any . . . "

so why is it not woking

mayB you didn't do something, skipped a line or something, I don't know, but you can alsow try to typ this in console = /map your_pk3_name

or post your .arena file here :)

make sure you don't have a large amount of custom maps in your /main dir. Because CoD can only list a limited number of maps in that list. So remove all custom .pk3's except your own.. it should show up then if you made the .pk3 correctly.

Ok got it now it doesn't say you NEED an arena file to make it appear in list or anything . .

so i made one and its working now

you see i never read the link gunstn gave me because i thought he was telling me to read the 'making a pk3 file' tutorial and in THAT tutorial it doesnt mention how to display it in list.
