The red cube represents the Model it self but! it doesn't work for you if you don't see the model only the cube so the problem is your entity of your model as the entity should be

Key = Xmodel
Value = it is automatically depending on what model you selected

But it should automatically set it as Xmodel but it doesn't cause you select models from wrong directory,

Extract the iwd13 from your cod main folder to directory/raw/ folder you should create that raw folder as you open the model from the xmodel folder it automatically sets it as xmodel in radiant then you should see your model its not that big of a error or anything its just wrong folder you take your models from.

so now when you select the model it automatically sets it as:

Key = xmodel
Value = raw/xmodel/modelname

or something like that

Model name automatically gets there as you select model so don't worry ;) if anything that is unclear just say,

Glad i could help [jumping]

mulk did u extracted the xmodel folder (think iw7.iwd) to your main folder?
i think otherwise your xmodels are not shown
xmodels are red boxes if radiant dont know what xmodel u set
i think when u compile these red dots a armored car will appear [cool]

It will do apear it wont even show the red cube. Red cube is just the symbol if model existing but to make it real and to show you have to have

key = xmodel

And i just wrote to him what to do why u still wrote something afterwards [tongue] [wave] [lol]

it is iw13.iwd IWD files are in alphabetical order.

iw13.iwd contains:

images
info
lights
material
mptype
rumble
vehicles
weapons
xanim
xmodel
xmodelalias
xmodelparts
xmodelsurfs

Make folder in your Cod2 directory called "raw" then extract the iw13.iwd to that raw folder and then thats it. Now to open the model all you have to do is same right click 2d view then misc/model then select the xmodel folder that you extracted to your raw folder in cod2 directory.

key = model
value = xmodel/vehicle_russia_jeep

You got raw/xmodel/modelnamehere and you need to have xmodel/modelnamehere it will automaticly generate.

Instructions:

1. Once you have your model on your map you see red cube you press N to open entity and as you see your value = raw/xmodel/modelnamehere you will have to change it to xmodel/modelnamehere each time you add a middle.

2. To automatically make the xmodel/modelnamehere you will have to create folder named "raw" in your C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2 then extract iw13.iwd to that "raw" folder that you created and when you add models to your map add them by right clicking 2d view pressing Misc - Model then go to the xmodel folder located in the raw folder that you extracted the iw13.iwd

C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\raw\xmodel
