I save my files and they are only saving as .map, I followed the tutorial and it doesnt say how to get this to work, or how to test the maps! I have also been using Q3A tutorials, they are very usefull aswell, although they do not tell u how to convert to bsp, i guess Q3 must not need this!? Thanks in advance for the help!!!

I am (hind end)uming you have set up the sdk according to the instructions, under the bsp menu selection you will see various options to select to compile your map, if you want to see the map in all it's glory, use the full vis, make sure that you have save the map with a name, and if it doesn't compile, you will know that by looking at the bottom, it should say something about writing to a folder a file with the bsp extension, if it doesn't, which i have come across time to time, the simple fix is to close the program and restart it, it should then compile. >ESS

gosh darn it!!! so many people have trouble with the downloads being linked over at soffiles.com. I am going to have to find an alternative for our downloads here. I really appologize for all the trouble.

i have downloaded the tutorial vid, and been on ur site and i cannot compile the bsp properly i guess, its just not making my file! --------------- Map_SaveFile: f:/games/soldier_of_fortune_ii_-_double_helix/test/maps/marks.map ERROR!!!! Couldn't open f:/games/soldier_of_fortune_ii_-_double_helix/test/maps/marks.map Map_SaveFile: f:/games/soldier_of_fortune_ii_-_double_helix/sof2sdk/base/maps/mine/marks.map ERROR!!!! Couldn't open f:/games/soldier_of_fortune_ii_-_double_helix/sof2sdk/base/maps/mine/marks.map ------------------- i get errors like this when i save sometimes as well!

If anyone knows what the problem could be could they please tell me, its compiling the BSP but it wont for the life of itself save properly, I dont know, it doesnt make the .bsp file, I have no clue what to do! PLEASE HELP!

also when i bring textures up it said it could not load default shader or something so all i get is red and blue.... please help! thank you sooo much in advance! Any help is appreciated i want to start hardcore tonite!
