Are you making a map (with S&D gametype OR Retrieval) and want it tested on a server?
BFE-CoD is willing to test out "working" S&D/RE maps (by working I mean ones that dont crash the server straight away lol)

BFE-CoD currently has 3 26man servers however that could be increased a bit to 32man ;) So if you have a beta map and want it tested out, we at BFE use alot of custom maps from D-Day+7 to Wolfsquare_Final and we want your custom maps to add to our 50+ list of great custom maps to use in our Campaign Style Tournament!

But if you wish to inform us of a new map that you want tested make a new post in this forum: http://forums.battleforeurope.com/cod/viewforum.php?f=20

Just create a new thread and post about your map and if possible provide us with a download link (you could always use www.yousendit.com for temporary downloads) Then the Mapping Council (MC - A group of people who will collect up all the maps then make an official map-test when theres time) but we can still test the map unofficialy on the servers

btw if this is in the wrong place im sorry :( :\ maybe put it in the CoD general? :S

Oh and: THIS INCLUDES UO MAPS TOO! :D
But for UO maps: Gametypes we use are: DOM, BAS, SD, RE, CTF(not much tho)

Yeah, I'm in a beta testing phase now. Only I don't get much feedback concerning things to fix, etc. My only SD problem I can think of is that the Flakvierling doesn't turn in to a destroyed one when the bomb explodes. Also, for balancing purposes, can you testers recommend differing locations for SD/RE spawns and objectives? Something I've been debating on.

Ill take a look at your map tonight ;) and I will post about it in the MC forum...

Also we have a few jumpers (me, turd etc.) who can tell you what spots you should fix so that we cant get of the map or get to a secret glitch spot hehe...

Hopefully we can squeeze this map in for BFE-CoD 7 which has the signups opening on the 13th July :D

You know the map Entrenchments? Well BFE had been testing that map since beta and we asked for small changes here and there so we could use it in BFE :) - We had our own version made without the weapons and health packs that the public one has atm... called Entrencments_noextras although I think its public now...

And we will diffinetly test your map EvilHobo and we will give you feedback to which spawn points may need editing, what textures might need patching up, if a tank or something needs removed etc. :D And where those "lag-spots" are ;)

Hi Evilhobo, im watcher from bfe's mapping council. About spawns.

- The attacker should be able to get out of their spawn area with out being able to be killed
- The defender must be able to get to the bombs before the attacker and should be allowed time to prepare.
- Make sure there is multiple way out of spawns
- The more routes to the bomb sites the better


Also ure problem with the tank lies in ure fx text, the details inside must have the exct name of the map, this should fix it

I dont know much about mapping for S&D (can only do tdm and still need to learn lighting stuff...) but looking through your mp_kriegstadt_fx.gsc file which Watcher was referring too there doesnt seem to be anything wrong...

That tank stuff is to do with Script_Multiple I think? I could be wrong... Ill check out the map now... the loading screen looks awesome!

EDIT: I got an error - bad command byte thing >_< hmm Ill try it on my other comp 2moro morning (GMT time - but I wake up like 12noon) as I usually test custom maps on my other comp :D

To fix that I'd say make a new folder and move your mods and custom maps there temporarily, then test the map. That is, if the problem persists.

Can u see ure fx model before and after it explodes, if not it has something to do with ure scripts

Wow... your UO map is awesome lol...
Theres a few gaps in the textures and its easy to get out of the map in about 2 or 3 places :D

Although one thing I noticed was for SD - The attackers dont seem to have enough cover... they would have to rush quite a bit to avoid enemy snipers etc. so maybe have them spawn a little further up?

The map would be awesome if you added Domination and Base Assault...
At BFE for UO maps we mainly use DOM and BAS... and for CoD maps we mainly use S&D and RE ;)

Some of the flyby planes - the sounds seem to load like a little too late...

And then put some tanks and jeeps for the Attackers and maybe have one flak gun which works from back there...

The underground is awesome... I got a little lost tho hehe... Ill have a further look at this map later but its diffinetly got good potential :)

You could maybe have 3 BASES at Attackers spawn and 3 BASES at defenders spawn for Base Assault... but this would mean the underground wouldnt be used much...

For Domination you could have 2 flags at attacker spawn, 2 flags at defenders spawn in the buildings, and another 2 or 3 flags in the undergrounds...
