when the "V" is pressed you can select and move vertices..
So roughly cut our house from the terrain and with "V" move the vertices to line up with the house.

It's a slow job. but it works.. and you should do it.. because having all those tris under your house is a bad thing.

You don't actualy see a chair or tree in radiant? Just a box then ther is no xmodel as well. Try this:

Open the map that comes with radiant find your self a xmodel. select it press ctrl c and open your map. Now press ctrl v and you have the xmodel in your map. Now you can see the model and not just a box. then you can just alter the model key to make the model you want. Hope it helps.

i see the thing i clicked on is reply but i dont know how to ask a question cuz im new

how do i make trees?

what do i do to get the advanced edit dialogue thing to come up? it doesnt come up when i push Y or when i click on it under patch

after you put in a new model u need to open the entity editor
and delete the filename path info except for the xmodel/whatever part

c:/program files/call of duty graydent/uo/xmodel/ammo_panzerfaust_box3

u just want to see

xmodel/ammo_panzerfaust_box3

then the model should show up in radiant

Trees are models. Adding models tutorial.

Check you commandlist under Help -> Commandlist. The key for the advanced patch editting window is the second key in the list "AdvanceCurveEdit". Also make sure you've got the editor set up correctly, because "Y" is the default key and selecting it from the dropdown menu should show it.

Got the xmodel thing to work, Thnx!!

I did some practicing on cutting the terrain around a odd shaped house., it was time consuming but i think i can do it
