I was browsing thru upcoming pc games and came arcross homefront by thq. Considering it's not by ea, and dose'nt use steam, (both major bonuses)so far anyway it mite be my next shooter .Just curious if any other players are interested in it or heard anything about it.

Hate to be the one who bursts the bubble, but HomeFront is utilizing SteamWorks, has been confirmed for some time now.

Yes, it does in fact use Steamworks like SparkyMcSparks said. However, it will have full dedicated server support with the eventual release of the server files, as well as the possibility of mod tools.

Bummer it uses steam, another game I'll pass on.Any game that uses steam can go stick it self where the...well you know.

All steam is a software controll group that you all subscribe too, puts evasive software on computer with out asking, slows down your connection, pushes ads and comercial and you ask why. too funny edited on Feb. 8, 2011 05:30 pm by Justplumloco I use to buy at least 6 pc games a year, and now lucky if i buy one.And as more and more developers move to steam console's are looking alot better.This pc will proably be last gaming pc that I build.
