hey, 1024 breakable brushes is still pretty good...yet taht 5000 seems better but 1024 is good too. heck i dont think most maps have even 15.

i know this wasnt your question but i thought it only fair to warn you about vis blocking... if you dont know what that is and im guessing that by the fact that your map is almost purely entity based, that you dont. you really should spend a few and learn about this or every map you make is going to suffer. hope this helps[2guns]

Tell me in one sentence what vis blocking is and i'll decide if it's usefull for my next map. (also breakables[casanova])

vis blocking is the method by witch you are able to have only the viewable parts being drawn instead of the whole map at once [2guns]

Vis Blocking is how you get the performance up on your map. I really recommend reading this tutorial. (especially the Func_detail and Hint brush sections) (those are the two most important things to it)

If you get into the habit of doing these things when your in the process of building the map instead of after everything is finished and set in stone it will make your life a lot easier and the map would run great. Im learning that lesson right now with my map. I built the first half not thinking about optimizing it at all and then I found this tut and spent about 2 weeks fixing and rebuilding spots to make it run a lot smoother and my VIS compile times got way faster.

Ah so it's a way to make your map run more smooth.
I do the now-draw texture thing and try to make small skyboxes. I'll look into those other things more often. But i can't use func_detail because the problem is that i use to many entities..

well im not sure how func_detials factor in on your total entity count but i would suspect your right that you cant use it to fix your problem but i dont think thats what eat lead was trying to say to you. more that you need to learn about func_detial and why its usefull also hint brush's as he mentioned heck jus check the tut hes telling you about im sure its good though i havnt seen it... i prefer room101 by foyleman avialble at this site will give you a very basic perspective of jus what we are talking about o btw foylmans is a video tut... wich should make it that much easier for you to learn.
