Hi everyone,

Last year I made a map called HOUSE 2 HOUSE and uploaded it to modsonline.

I thought it was finished as it works with just me running around on it, but there were problems when people tried to run it on servers with multiple people on it.
Right about that time I got uber busy at work and have not had time to figure out what needed to be done to get it playable.

Everything is done on the map (fully prefabbed, mini-mapped, loading screen, portaled.. everything), and it all works just fine.

I just need to find (an experienced) someone that is able to take what Ive done and get the thing working as I just don't have time to do it and I got so far and put so much work into it, it would be a shame not to be have people playing it.

I'm happy to have the person credited as a co developer of the map, I will give you all my work files, whatever you need to get it working online. I really need help.

Please let me know if this sounds like a project you would like to be a part of.

What was the issue when multiple players were on the map?

You would be better off posting your compile log for the map, there is a good chance the problem will be there.

If I could throw a guess out there, he is probably exceeding the max entities when other players connect and start doing "things".

Thanks for the responses.

Yes, it definitely has something to do with the max number of entities. But without testing it with other players on a network, I'm not sure what I need to remove to fix it.

So, I guess I'm asking for someone to work with me on the testing phase that has more time on their hands than I currently do. I need someone that knows how to actually it put it on a server and test it as I don't know how to do that or have the time to figure it out. Then let me know what I need to do to fix it (remove items, how many? etc..).

Also, I'm open to working together with someone to refine the map and make it better by closing off some routes or opening up areas. Of course adding that person as a co designer of the map.

Ive had a lot of interest from Game developers from this map and Its very important that I can show it as a working multi player map. And, as I said, I'm happy to give credit where credit is due.

So, if anyone is interested in getting involved and thinks they can help me to get it working, please let me know.

PM me a link with all the raw files and your built map as well, both FF files and the IWD. I'll see what I can do to help out. I can put it on our server and run some tests. If that is what you want to do.

I've had this error before and I fixed it by reducing the number of Spawn points, wave files, triggers, types of models or script entities like script_brushmodels and so on, but I started with spawn points. Just remember that every different model counts as an entity.

I can get started on it this week once I have an idea on where to start after looking at the maps files.

Remove all script_models, script_brushmodels, script_origins and path nodes from map if you want to get this map working in MP.

you said that you completely built the map. But are you sure you have all of the necessary files? ie: gsc, arena, .ff, load.ff, .iwd
