Is there a limit on how many WAVs i can add to a map FF? I got 8 and fine, i made it 9 and the mapsize dropped back to a size without any WAVs and i got a nice long list of missing soundaliases errors :D

Anybody had a common problem once?

Not really sure I understand your question.

Do your sounds play ingame?

Have you even created a soundalias.csv?

No no, all is okay as far the setup goes. The thing is i add 8 WAVs to the FF, they work. I add another one, 9th - poof, all sounds are gone (and the FF drops size exatly what the 8 WAVs added to it previously).

I remove the 9th WAV, all others compile again into the FF, soundaliases correct, everything goes fine.

I solved it the way, that i made one WAV a streamed MP3, so that fixed it actually, but the curiosity is still there.

Well, on the current map I'm working on, I have 43 custom wav files, and one wav file that is being used as the ambient background track, which bumps it up to 44. So I don't think it is an amount issue here, I think it would have been a file type or length issue.

Unless I could watch what was happening I wouldn't be able to have a good understanding on why it wasn't working or how you even fixed it, but knowing it is fixed now, that is a good thing and all that matters. [thumbs_up]

Actually i did found the issue. There is no limit (or might not be, don`t know), but whenever a bad sound is added the compiler throws all sounds out of the FF, maybe including the soundaliases (or basing on the soundalias file all WAVs mentioned there).

What i did - i took a WMA, converted to WAV and did not check the filesize. In WMA it had 700kB, 12 seconds loop. As a WAV it had about 9M, while still 12 seconds :) a bit strange i think. And i guess the compiler had the same thoughts, but did not tell.
