Hi,
When I update my zone file, the left side (missingasset.csv) is always empty).
And because I can't update my zone file, I have an annoying big red 'line' on my screen while running my map.

I have no idea why missingasset.csv doesn't update...
I had to create the file manually, because it wasn't automaticly created, but I don't think that's the problem?
It's not a read-only file, I've checked that.

Can somebody please help me?

Are you running a mod with the map?

As you should be running a mod with the map, inside that Mod folder is a missingasset.csv, that would have been created in that mod folder after the map was ran.
Since the game can only read the missingasset.csv located in the "Main" folder you will have to copy and paste the one from the mod folder, into the "Main" folder, replacing the original.

This error is a common error and could have been found in the search results. [cool]


As for your red line ingame. This is also a common error caused by not adding the proper models to the zone file. The zone file is going to tell you to add many different xmodels for whatever type of player models you are using. You don't need to use all these. Simply pick one of the following lines depending on what type of player models you are using. Just one of these lines covers all the xmodels your zone file is trying to tell you to add. Only pick the type of models you have defined in your main maps .gsc file.

For Desert:
include,mptypes_desert

For Woodland:
include,mptypes_woodland

For Urban:
include,mptypes_urban

Thanx, i've got rid of the 'red line'.

But I'm not running any mod with the map, so I've still got problems with missingassets.

Should I always run a mod with a map?

Make sure you either run with compile tools and have developer ticked or you include this in your commandline

I know this is an old post, but an update for people still coming across the error... copy the mapname.csv from the zone_source folder and copy it to the /main folder and rename it to missingasset.csv
It's the same file with a different name. It'll work straight away.
