Right tutorial. It is the clipper tool tutorial.. though it may not teach you to make door and windows it will teach you how to cut brushes. And that's what you want to do when making a door or a window.

Exactly.. don't use it.. and please don't recomment people to use it. It will only cause you trouble in the long run.

I don't have any trouble with the extract tool But sometimes when you use it and you do it wrong than your day can get runed> (or whatever I am from Holland so nobody can blame me than my english is worse) but if whas a beginner i would use the clipper tool !

But i cant understand why people dont use it. The people that made the map editor put it in there for a reason. I use all the time unless im cutting out an odd shape.

Anywayz I'm a newbie so may not like it atfer a few months mapping:P

They dind't put it there.. they LEFT it there... the same baisc layout is used for other Q3 enigine based editors aswel. In those games you can use the CSG buttons. However, because CoD uses a heavily modified version of the Q3 engine, it may cause trouble when you use the tool.

It's not that much more work to cut out a door than it is to extract one. So don't use it. Or at least don't come running back here when your map is ruined by using it.

I'm sorry for being nasty but this was the 3th post I wrote that was a question about something simple to find. I just hate if people don't search first, if you want to know somthing a bit more complex and juse search. You can't find it because there are a lot of the same posts and only a few about the complex stuff. Thats why
