such as Foxhound and Brutus, Gee I only know your call signs at this point

I was gonna change my legal name to Brutus lol

anyways.. my email is brutus@brutus.kicks-ass.net and am open to help wherever I can. I am really comfortable with the editor but no so much on SP sides of things.

If I can help out on something though I usually stick my 2 cents in.

Brutus,
And others showing an interest in SP scripting.
Give Narc and I a little time to get things straightend out. He has a good feel as to what probably must be a starting point, and I as of today actually got a squad of marines to hammer on some columbian soldiers as they advanced from
behind a building into view. But in my opinion there is a lot to be learned before we start to just shove out code on you guys without providing all with a good idea as to how to use it effectively. There are some fundemental things that do not appear to work in Radiant such as creating nav points that the scripts understand. The method some of you read written by the new person "5t3v3" in how to
create nav points is at best a "last stop measure".
One has to be in the game mission to create nav points which to me is very crude. We must find out how to properly generate navigational points within the Radiant Editor. This is the only way to
be able to build a mission of any size with control over how scripts move soldiers etc., between navigational areas and regions.

Let me say this for the time being. For anyone that
has downloaded and succesfully installed the sof2sdk for Single Missions, and is interested in what some of us are attempting.
Do read through at least the three documents in the doc dir titled:
Nav Point System.doc
Character NPC File.doc
Scripting.doc

These three documents will give you the basics.
The contents of the Scripting.doc file is very well done and gives details on how to create scripts.

But as you all will find out, until one understands how to create the navigational system, the scripts have little value for the most part.

cheers,
grb (George)
