I keep getting a leaked message when i compile but the sky box is intact and no brushes or models protrude thro it. Infact there's nothing even close to touching the sky box [confused]


Anyone got any ideas??????

this is what i have done before... make sure that you have updated your .map file when u checked the skybox
also go to file> pointfile...
it will use a red line to point you to the problem

make sure you are on your lowest grid setting and that your skybox is structural (not detail). Also, make sure there are no models OUTSIDE of your skybox.

There was no red line when i went to file/pointfile... Braveheart, but didn't quite understand what you meant by 'most updated .map file'
Please explain. I've only got one .map file in the map folder for my map. I don't make a backup copy of the before and after .map file. Perhaps i should

The skybox is structural and there aint any models or brushes outside the skybox.

There was a weird looking patch of a rock that had distorted out of recognition, but that's gone now but still getting the same error message that it's leaked.

I've had it compile before successfully.

I've added a brushmodel of a big metal gate that's activated by a trigger use switch. That's in the middle of the map tho so it's not that


Any more ideas please

Remember that BIG metal gate i was telling you about, well it was that and it's grouped trigger.

Mainly the trigger as it was trying to group itself to summit else that wasn't there, and therefore had multi cloloured ( note the spelling of coloured - the english way.... lol ) lines pouring out of it trying to attach itself to whatever.... Wot a Noobie I am [duh]

But hey, life's a learning curve and so's mapping [biggrin]
