I just got my copy of Battlefield 2. This game is pretty sweet.

I'll get back to you with the details of not just the game... but also my purchase experience. ;)

My Son Azz and I tried the demo !!!!!!!! OMG !!!! on four puters we only managed to get it to run on one!!

We tried patches, fixes, someone on one forum suggested the need for microsoft something or other, we dl'd that and still it wouldnt run.

The one we managed to get it to run on was ironically the one with the radeon card !!! and even that one ran so bad the menu's took an age to get thru and kept going back to the previous... OMG

We run BFVN, BF1942, BF 1942 road to rome no probs.

It looks like we wont be running B2 ever...
We would urge ppl to check the demo and see if they can run this game before shelling out hard eardned cash..

EA what are you thinking of releasing a load of c**p like this?

I had an issue with one out of 4 computers. There are sound bugs (crackling) on the other three. Other than that, I think the game is beautiful and I am really enjoying playing the game.

I understand your troubles. I even went out and bought a new video card for that 4th computer... to find it's not on the "approved" list of cards.[duh]

I had another unsatisfied purchased through a certain giant game store and I asked them to get back to me regarding how they want me to publish the way they handle things. I don't want to get into the details quite yet. [mad] That will come later this weekend.

I personally hate ea but i dont mind some (i say some because rising sun is a huge pile of steaming, festering crap) of the moh games and all of the bf games... I have by no means got a good computer... on high graphics the bf demo just froze up... on low graphics it worked fine... my gpu is barely good enough to run bf2 and the same goes for my cpu... the only thing i have an abundance of is memory...

bf2 appears to be a very tempremental, problematic game... i have a bad pc but it works on mine, yet i have heard about people with brilliant pc's and it just dont work on them...

By the way... if anybody see me on a demo server waiting on the carrier for a seahawk transport chopper to spawn DONT STEAL IT ITS MINE!!! lol!!![sniper]

Just some thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still think in the future of online gaming we are going to see the Consoles taking over. If you can buy the game for one of the consoles you won't have any issues other than not being able to mod for it.
What really ticks me off is that we are seeing more and more games come out that you have to buy this or buy that to be able to even run the game. If you buy or build a top of the line PC say February of next year to play the games coming out next year you better plan on buying new hardware the following year. They are making such advances in their game engines that it will be nearly impossible for average people to keep up with the hardware it takes to run them.

Here, here.... I think also if AE games in 2005 cant turn out a game that ppl can install and run without having to cough up more and more readies for new cards etc then ppl should simply boycot them. I mean,, what the h**l is wrong with BFVN and the others? They look good, run well.

I just wonder if EA games might be in league with some card chip makers..... And before I dig myself in any deeper I better sign off. So from us its [moon] to EA Games

The majority of games by ea are just schemes to make money... theres hardly any that have any care or attention put into them and it dont realy look like they give a s**t about gamers... Now compare this to rockstar games who are making great advances in games, putting loads of care into them, and ultimately making them work on fairly low end computers with no huge worries... I no this is a bit off topic but its got to be said.
Its not just EAgames though, its activision, with CoD 2 i see screen shots and my PC chokes, errr ID with Doom 3, although my PC can run this its not very enjoyable at 800x600, and the release of Quake 4 when it comes out I hate to think what thats gonna require.[banghead][mad]

Enough of me...[wave]
