Hi Guys,
i just wanna start with mapping for CoD4.
Ive started to create my first room and all is fine.
But then i have to set textures.
In the tutorials, in the 3D view, the textures but in my case there are just squares with numbers of 1-4 on it.
Look at attachments for screen.

Could you help me?

That is the default tool texture. Go to your toolbar and look for 'texture' there is a drop down menu from which you can select what texture you need.

For most mapping tasks you will want the texture called 'caulk', this is found in the textures - tools catagory.

well thats the problem... i have choosen a wall texture but its also like the picture above. and if i use the caulk the texture becomes invisible

Click on your F key for the filters and make sure that there is a checkmark showing for Transparent. Better yet, at this stage in your map just put a checkmark beside every filter option.

Not sure what the policy on 'necroing' threads are but this does sound like the same exact problem I am having.

I did hit the 'F' key and all my filters are checked.
