hey guys,
buying a new pc and I want to get HL2 with it! the pc comes with 3 ghz procesor and 512mb memory - I know thats good. the question i have is that it comes with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900 for the video card, does anyone know if HL2 will be playable on this card?
thanks [machine_gun]

If it is playable (which it probably wont be) you wont enjoy it thats for sure. I just got a new computer a few months ago also and it came with an fx5200 which really sucked for hl2. I spent an extra $250 and got a 9800 pro. Probably the best $250 ive spent on computer parts in a long time. It runs Source games really well. I keep everything on max settings with AF set to 4x and my fps averages about 75 in CS:S with it dipping as low as 40 on Aztec. If I tuned down the eye candy it always stays at 100fps.

Wow I just did a search for your graphics chip and its pretty good. It has most features that regular video cards have. You could probably get away with playing the game with medium settings if it performs like it says.
