Yeh, I missed the good old days when it's WW2. I don't particularly like modern warfare - not the name but the era - I prefer WW2 over modern era any day. Unless the modern warfare game is meant to be realistic, then sure, I would want it. I don't mind the ranking system but ever since COD4 came out, everything did go downhill. I only map/script for modern because I have my storyline but if I had to stick to WW2, I would still map/script for WW2. My project started out with COD2 anyway. COD2 is actually more stable than COD4 in some ways.
BO was a good move, at least it was back in history. Hopefully, Treyarch goes back into history again. I have had enough of modern games unless they're realistic shooters. WW2 games DO NOT get boring even after a while. There are so much more WW2 stuff that we the players haven't experienced yet. Like Operation Market Garden. Not that I don't appreciate other games having these types of missions, I do, but I want to see COD do it. I hope they end the modern series with MW3. MW shouldn't even be a COD title. MW2 should just be kept as MW2 not COD:MW2.
Oh well.
Didn't Treyarch made the first COD game? If so, Treyarch is expert at making WW2 games.

Gray Matter which merged into Treyarch made United Offensive, but neither made CoD. Infinity Ward made CoD.
Though I wouldn't say them not making CoD disputes that they've made good WWII shooters. UO is an excellent game and even though WaW is underrated, it is still a good game. |

Ah, ok. Well, UO was a good game as well. Hmm, I always thought Treyarch and IW alternate between games, so I thought Treyarch made COD1, then, IW made COD2. Well, I guess UO can be considered as the alternate game.
And yes, WAW is a good game. Nothing like hearing Gary Oldman as a Russian good guy, if you know what I mean. :D I don't like the zombie mod all that much, because, I hate horror games but WAW is good. Love how they went back to the original COD and enhanced the missions with better graphics. Love the storyline.
See, WW2 can still be good compared to MW. |
