Hi
Hope someone can help me. Ive got the game installed and patched to 1.7
Ive downloaded and copied the modtools to the game directory (ive done mod tools, 1.2, 1.2.1, 1.3, 1.4)

Im on vista 64 bit SP 2
AMD phenom triple core 2.3 Mhz
6 GB ddr2 ram
ASUS 9800GTX+ graphics card

when i try and run the launcher.exe from bin i get the dialog box saying Launcher has stopped working.
I have also set the launcher and all the .exe files in bin to run in admin mode in thier properties boxes.

Any help would be appreciated

yep ok ive looked at that site and the installation instructions look the same as the treyarch wiki i followed to install the tools. I couldnt find any reference on that site about having trouble with the launcher.exe not running? and i did do a search while i was there

[idea]
Could this be a problem related to something like fonts on my PC being corrupted?

Bit hard to know he exact cause, but it could be to do with your drivers, make sure you have the latest gfx and .net drivers

Yes graphics drivers and .net are what i did first.....
Ive got .net 4 i think.

I also updated the directX with the redistributable thingy, but im not sure if this matters but im currently on directX 11
but i read somewhere i should update the directX9.0c thingy?

Would that make any diference as to weather my directX is up to date?

Ive also tried disabling UAC, and running in all kinds of compatability mode but it still wont run

[idea]

Should i go out and get windows 7 instead?[lol]

go to
Code:
#:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\bin

Make shere that all the files
Code:

- asset_manager
- AssetViewer
- CoDWaWRadiant
- EffectsEd3
- Launcher

are set to run as admin
also make shere the setting on your shortcuts are the same aswell.

That dont work try running the tools in compatibility mode for windows xp SP3
thats done as followed

right click on the file go to >Properties > Compatibility tab
check the boxs and set it to windows xp SP3
give that a try on all of the files above and leave run as admin checked aswell

i hope this helps

hi thought I would share this, I had some issues saving my map in Radiant. Then I asked around here

As it turns out, all I needed to do was run the app as administrator- something that I had forgotten to do...Have you tried this?
