I just got done watching the singleplayer footage. Here are the notes I made.
sliding, LEANING that's right LEANING
friendly AI seems dumb, the seem to stand out in the open alot
request ammo from friendly AI
weather, rain
kick in doors
tracers look nice
HUD fades away, not always there, you can press a button to bring it back at any time then it will fade away again
no split screen...not that we care about that
dlc is coming, DLC not confirmed but implied
if you are physically near a friendly AI when they speak over the radio, you hear it twice their actual voice and then the radio version (seen in metro 2033 and some other games)
volumetric dust, bullet impact dust
different rate of fire modes on weapons...finally
You can cook grenades
call signs and target callouts are specific to that military unit. e.g. Navy it's not second floor it's second deck
gate explosion - dust and rubble fall from the sky and the sound echo's for some time afterwards as dose the dust
medal of honor prequel novel - tells the story leading up to the start of the game
much more squad based action (in this level anyway) quite long as well
much more authentic style of play - NO RUN AND GUN OR YOU GET DEAD
You will unable to carry huge amounts of ammo and grenades
friendly AI call targets with authentic speech - e.g contact left - with as few words as possible...not a 20 min speech
Just saw an enemy AI spawn right in front of the player wtf?
languages are spoken by the right people - no dodgy Russian/English accents
they do still say taliban in single player
the first mission takes around an 30 mins or so to playthrough, no load screens or cut scenes, everything is in the game engine. (the guy did day about 4 times though, as he was playing on hard)
console exclusive content (PS3 only) - they have found all the old assets from medal of honor front line and have rebuilt the game with hi res textures, 5.1 sound etc - comes on the blueray disk for them to play. |

You forgot to say that the enemy AI is even worse, at least from what I've seen. But hey, it's on the consoles, maybe it's supposed to be stupid.
Anyway I didn't understand the thing with replaying the singleplayer levels in the shortest time and comparing with your friends, who can leave markers of their progress. I immediately thought about racing games, where you had a kind of ghostly version of you on the course running the last lap.
So I thought that maybe you could see in real time how one of your friends played that level using the same technique. On second thought, too many things would happen on screen at once, and it would probably be distracting.
But I still can't imagine what he meant with those markers. |
