Loosely based on the film Guns of Navarone 1961 Here is some very early pics, just playing about with ideas. All I could think of for the guns was to scale up two Flak88. For s&d mainly. I will need to conjure up one mother of an explosion.

you really gotta put a bit more work into ya maps before u show them off:p

but i know how temting it is, lol, i mean u could of at least fitted the textures to the walls[tongue]

Looks promising but i agree its not really at showing off stage just yet lol...[sniper]

Oh yeah and talking about showing off maps, i will be posting some shots of prefabs that will be used in my upcoming (and first ever) map soon.[sniper]

Just one more thing... How did you scale up those 88's? looks just the sort of thing i need for a cannon battery prefab im making instead of using one of the ship turrets...[sniper]

to scale models...

key: modelscale
value: the numbers you want, 1 is default, 2 would be twice as large

Hi MC,..errr no! acording to my dvd cover info it was 1961..[lol]
I did explain these were "very early pics" and that I was "just playing about with ideas" Sometimes I am thinking a question but dont type it out correctly. What I was after is comment on the scaling and size of the 88's. Thats why I went thirdperson and placed myself beside the guns to indicate the scale.

I was just wondering for anyone else old enough (like me) to remember the movie would the guns do? I just stuck the cavern around to gauge scale again.

Your map has a leakie..

Your textures..
You might want to use Industrial Concrete and the italy textures for this one.

Hint on textures..
Make all your walls a max of 128 high. This way the textures (most) will line up evenly. When applied.

Ppl, ppl, ppl, Maybe its my fault, maybe ppl are not reading my post and understanding.. Many thanks for comments but please ignore the goddamn blasted walls !!! I was after comment on the scaling and whether the scaled flak88's would do the job.
Please, I know how to "fit" a texture and I know the best brush sizes. I am also aware of all the different concrete textures. But many thanks for the (I'm sure well meant hints)

The walls are just a quick box there to give an idea of the scale of things..
