hm, to have the r700 without the scope/acog you should just have to edit the weaponfile (make a backup of the original r700_mp first!) for the r700 like this...

I tried it now in SP and this way - hidding tags - is possible (you must use mp weapon file, sp file is in "one part"). But there is one problem, weapon hasn't iron sight -> you cannot fire precisely...

Well, even if you can tag on iron sights, it wont be right, because the xanims are for sighted weapons. So your only bet is to buy maya 8/8.5 and add your own iron sight and make your own ADS_UP and ADS_DOWN xanims

It doesn't matter that the weapon has no iron sight.
But is this method also possible in multiplayer?
And it can't be done with scripting only right?

it should work in multiplayer, as i mentioned i didn't get it to load ingame tho...btw you also have to get rid of the snipeoverlay shader assigned in the weaponfile too...

I am only a bit good in scripting. Not in the rest [sad]

But I try to see how far I can come.
I should add the weapon file in the csv file right?

Your thinking way to hard. If your talking about V-tals c- movie
well all he did was remove the R700 in demo. /cg_drawgun (i think)
then imported the models in a 3D app,removed scoped and animated it.
Simple composting afterwards.

yeh, its animating it thats the easy part - the hard part is paying a lot of money for a maya licence.
