"The extent of the mod tools package will not be known until this time."
renders all the rest pointless to me!

I'm not blind and i see that CoD:BO multiplayer looks like MW2.
Well obviously it will do, to me other than a few graphic/physics improvements there isn't a whole lot of difference throughout the entire series. You can clearly see the similarities between all games.
When a developer builds a new game which is part of a series do you really think hey start from scratch? If that was the case it would be a brand new game, unless the engine changes completly they will always use old code, texture, animations, sounds etc.. |

When the designers get together and draw out there map designs they would need to know the number of player it may hold, i would be a bit annoyed if i designed a build a map around say 16 players max and they decide to up the limit to 64, making my map completely overcrowded.
With the amount of new stuff they added i would think its a memory problem they are looking out for. They also stated that the minimum specs are not definite yet and so everything points to the fact that they arent sure if more players on PC if memory problems could start appearing. Totally understandable. I wouldnt think we'll get over 32 players this time but at the same time, how many servers run with more than 32 players? |

This is becoming unbelievable, tiresome and quite frankly annoying. Everytime we get a new release with whatever it brings to the table lots of people start up with the crazy stuff and this is especially true before the actual release.
Treyarch steals,
Treyarch sold us out,
Treyarch hates the PC community,
Treyarch this and that........
Treyarch has more so than IW always come through for us. Their versions of the game are usually better. Their tools, when released, are usually better.
If so many of you people are disillusioned then back away from the table. If you arent going to buy the game then back away from the table. If you have to make stuff up to crap on the game then back away from the table.
None of us know exactly what we are going to get do we? Even on release day we wont know the exact extent of what we are going to end up with and yet here we are listening to so many experts who have already condemned this game to hell simply because of ignorance or self importance.
The game could come up short, we could be "sold out" but we dont know this. Do any of us here or anywhere really know what will be contained in that shrink-wrapped plastic box? No.
Maybe at 51 I have gained some degree of patience or possibly senility. But this I do know. Im buying the game. Im looking forward to some great fun with the single player campaign. Im going to experience the multiplayer side. I will map when the tools become available. I will try to continue to contribute to the community. But from this point forward I refuse to continue to listen or participate in this neanderthal tendency of beating my chest like a gorilla. I will keep my eyes and ears open as any consumer should so as to not let important tidbits that are slipping out, if you are paying attention, get past me and thus losing it amidst this ever increasing white noise of testosterone. |

the correct word isn't stealing, the correct word is taking ,taking stuff without innovating(only new thing they have inovated are the nazi zombies)and yeah, like other cod stuff this was already done time ago as a mod in cod4 (BTD).
Aww yeah techno, forgot... cod5 is not a mod of cod4, is a beta mod of it,since maps were horribily done, giving low fps compared to cod4 ones and the mod tools were also a bit buggy.
And btw, in my opinion treyarch it's just the expansion game developer of iw's game, which is being made for getting extra money.
Wanna see what is gonna happen with cod8 after iw main developers have gone.... it's gonna be quite interesting.

In every release, treyarch add MUCH more then IW do, they probably even contribute more to the Engine...
WaW gave us Nazi Zombies, Vehicles, much better engine upgrades, better mod tools and MUCH more.
What did the IW COD4 - MW2 step give us? Some more killstreaks... and removed everything Trey did for us and tore the game down to basicly nothing by removing mod tools, dedi servers and countless other core things. Now Trey have once again, stepped in, given us back dedi servers, and are trying to hardest to give us back what we love most - Mod tools
Please shut up and get of the "LOL IW ARE AMAZING TREY ARE GAY" bandwagon... its pathetic and proves your level of thinking. |
