Do you have the .dds plugin installed on your system ? If your using Photoshop 7.0 to edit/create your textures and use an Nvidia graphics card you can download the plugin from the Nvidia site... I´m not sure if it´s the same for ATI cards as I only use Nvidia cards (2x 6800GT) [thumbs_up]

Also the size of the textures needs to be kept to the power of 2 format ( I think thats correct ) such as: 32x16 128x64 1024x512 256x128 etc etc...

about dds... (this is more about levelshots than textures)

do you have to make the levelshot 1024x1024 like the tut says or can you go smaller and expand it? (making it 1024x1024 means you have to go with a higher resolution and crop it down)

You can make it smaller I think (try it out if you don't know!) bit then it will look pretty bad for people who play at 1280x1024 (like me).. Because the next .dds dimension will be 512x512, so it gets blown up over twice it's original size..
