Compiled up with the settings from your screenshot. Still no shadows anywhere..

We had one case before when there was guy whining that he cannot see effects of fire n other in game and after all he figured out he had nofxmod.iwd in his folder.Check your main first. Make sure your main is mod-free! Always!

In real, shadows only cast when there is enough light pointed to shadow caster. Try increasing your sunlight and pointing it from top.

Check your zone file..is it zone file? Where you have to add things like:

material,sun
material,sun_flare
[from cod5]

Check your lightmaps.

I'm not whining. And theres plenty of sunlight. Check the video if you haven't already.
Zone file is fine. I can add or take anything out of it no problem. Its updated.
Lightmap looks fine.
What about the compile error I posted on the previous page. Whats the deal with the coordinates? I don't think I'm reading it correctly.

My "main" folder is mod free. I have this map also on a test server on the internet and its the same there. No shadows.

Haha it's not link it's underline so you can see what I've wrote.
Or your video is too dark but I can't see "plenty of sunlight" ;)
Try "Crash" worldspawn settings

Its set for crash right now. It was backlot, and others before that. I can change worldspawn settings easy enough but no shadows on any of them.. ?

Well this is last of my ideas, make them count ;)

Try to make simple room in your map, put intense light there, and some model right infront of it.

This is test which will show you either your compiler makes light or not, it will make the ones that like to help u much easier

I fixed it!

I went into the map. I hit "i" and selected everything in my map.
I then clicked file, new, and copied the entire contents of the map to a new map. I then saved as new.map
Then I deleted the original map.
And then saved the new map with the same name as my old map. Compiled up and viola! Shadows everywhere.

Looked at your settings. You dont need connect paths unless you are doing sp or maybe if you have dogs or something.

Verbose and Extra are fine but normally for the final compile. Fast is what most use while building the map for testing purposes and in truth many of us release on Fast.

Do you have any friends that map for 4? If so try sending the files to them and have them compile it and see what happens.
