Mmh weird, it lags even on stock maps. Its laggs always, with different people, so not the ping and i'm using ingame rcon.

What can make a server to use at least 30% of cpu ?? Thats seriously weird -,-

the only other thing is i suppose your computer and your graphics settings if your running on standard try running on Dx7 (better FPS than Dx9) and turn auto analising off and "no" on sync every frame.

at least try it with all that so you know its not your computer.

if its the server, are you running it or is it a rented slot? if it is then they might have bad internet at the exchange point or something.

Actually what i did, is removing everything in my cod2 folder. I downloaded again paulus mod and i moved aaaZ20.iwd to my main with the zom.cfg. I launched a local server and it is using 00% of cpu when empty (thats normal), but when i add 40 bots (scr_testclients 40), the cpu is getting high, about 30-40....

I asked another zombie clan, and their server is using max 12% with paulus zombie mod (they got 64slots servers).

So whats wrong ? Maybe i'm installing paulus mod not correctly ?

No its not my computer, because i only lag on this server, and many people do.

When i check cpu usage on the machine where i'm hosting the server (a VPS), its high (30% at least) :s

I tried this mod on different hosters (3 or 4), and i get lag. Also the clan that is running a 64slots without lag and with paulus mod is hosted in same company as me (now i changed, i bought a VPS->cheaper ^^).

Ok appearently, running server with bots with 40% of cpu usage is normal.

So, got other few questions :

Can a weapon file make server to lag ? (like kar98k_mp)

Can a "lot" of precache make it to lag ? Like precaching 12 texts, 3 objets, 5-6 menus, 6 shaders and 1 iteam.

Often what causes lag is either faulty loops, or when multiple and expensive threads are ran in the same frame.

Oh...then it's probably the second one.

Last time i was reading a stock script, i saw a function that says : waittillframeend()

But i don't know when (and if) i should use it.

PS : Forgot to say that laggs is getting higher, when i get above 35 players (under 35 players, less lagg)
