Ok, I am a newb mapper hoping to someday be a really good one. Well, I got some friends into mapping and we want to have a Map Team. Well.. When we all work on one map, do we each make our part and then import them to one big map? or is there another way 3 people can work on one map?

This site ROCKS!

After the ground is placed down. Then each member create thier section, then each member save what they added as a prefab. Then load all the prefabs to make the final map.

Would it also work for each person to save their part as a map and then import the maps as new layers?
Seems like it would be easier that way.

you can only place all your maps together by turning them into prefabs and adding all the files into a map.

the way i would do it is to get ya best designer to create a layout, and then send this layout to everyone and then certain people get to design on certain parts of the map.

if you have a member who is better at designing on fields e.g making farms, bush's and stuff, then get the person who designs the layout to make 1 section of the map a field and let the member design on this.

then if you got 2 people who are better working on towns, then basically created 2 areas with a road in the middle, and say 1 person designs on 1 side and the other person does the other.

also if you got 1 person who is good at making certain things, like explodable walls, curves and stuff. then you can get him to add that stuff onto your buildings.

you just gotta work together and make shore you let each person work on there own sections, because every1 has there own ideas, you can also have discussions on anythink you fill should be changed.

i hope this can help

good luck
