if you buy maya, but i dont know what version it would be for UO then i can help you as maya 6 shouldn't be that different.

You dont use Maya for making models in vCOD or UO. There are community made plugins for Light Ray 3D or Milkshape. There are none for Maya.

ok i said i didnt know =p but all other cod's are maya though. so you will have to look on the internet for some milshape3d tutorials (not about cod because there might not be any) but look for ones about creating a skelton or something.

i dont know anything about anything other than maya, but what i can tell you is: before you start working with model in milkshape 3d or another programme like that - LEARN HOW IT WORKS FIRST! then you move on to moddeling and importing to a game because you understand what everyone is on about. like you dont know how to make bones, if you had looked at tutorials about milkshape 3d (NOT FOR COD) then you would know how to do it. it does help to but effort in to when you do something lol

i know how to make things in milkshape now the only problems are the bones, but ive heard that i dont need any other bones because cod will see the origin of the model also as bone, is that true?

i dont know, but if your trying to make hitboxes, then the game as to know were to place them like they would have the headshot hitbox say 0 0 12 above the bone J_neck? so i think they use the bones to place the hitboxes, i might be wrong i have never worked with cod/uo try it if it doesnt work that this might be why.

i dont think anyone has, thats what i've been trying to tell you if you learn how to make bones then you can do it lol so look at milkshape 3d tutorials at how to make bones and things

allright, i got it now.

but now in the assetmanager, what do i have to fill in on the bonecontrollers field and the bonestabilizers field, or can i leave it blank?
