ok... either Zakhaev is the most handicapped person since Helen Keller [crazy] or the compiler is not connecting my paths. [devilishgrin]

I have been trying to get Zakhaev to move around his new office for about 11 hours now and have not gotten any closer. [banghead]

the attachment is a snapshot of the layout....

When i run the cod4 normally he spawns but does not go to his node. In console it says -

Ai (### , ###, ### ) couldn't find path to goal

- and when i kill him he gets pissed because it cant run an animation on a dead guy.

When i run cod4 with +set g_connect_paths 1 it loads and crashes to desktop without an error message

Yo necesito ayudar muy mucho!!! [confused]

Whats your operating system? There are various problems with the path compiling with Win7 systems, but there is a fix.

should work fine try these commands in ur custom command line :

+ai_shownodes 1
+ai_shownearestnode 64
+g_entinfo 1
+ai_showpaths 1

make sure develoer, developer_script, and cheats are enabled and then run map. Theres will show u if the nodes are connected, all nodes connected, what path the ai is taking, what is his goal and give u ai info.if any errors appear and u missed it, dont worry go to ur "main" folder in ur cod4 directory and look for the "console.log" file.

scroll through it till u find the error.

it is only a prefab of the Ai parts of the scene

I did that to keep them separate from the mapping geometry for easier editing

ok i ran it with the settings and took some screenies

what do you make of this?

does it help explain why he cant find the node at his feet?

here is the compile log errors -

sentient has invalid rank Warden!
AI (entity 45, origin 268.9 433.7 126.1) couldn't find path to goal.

rank no prob, but the other one is still hanging around.

I moved the bad nodes away from objects and will try again.

the first bad node ( not at his feet but up ahead ) seems to be slightly inside that prefab. i cant tell wat that is cause it seems too dark. in pic 116171-12800841451. as i can see the box that makes up the node is coming through that prefab. so move the prefab or move the node either one will connect to that node. The other node that is in front of that one simply cant find another node to connect too due to the first one being inside a prefab. im assuming the ai is to go to that node at his feet to later go to the ones inside the prefab or something like that. could be the reason why the ai cant go to the first one. or sometimes the game is so sensitive that even one bad node will mess up all of them. anywho just fix that one and i think there shouldnt be a problem.
