Tried searching for this but no luck.

Easygen wont let me add a texture folder without a Error.

code:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------The exception Integer division by zero. (0xc0000094) occurred in the application at location 0x1000b2de. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As well as a second error

code:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------The instruction at "0x73dd11c7" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read". --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This has me at a dead stop on my current project. Can anyone help out?

I'm no Easygen expert (don't use it) but I just played with my copy to see if I could cause the error you have and didn't have problems.

That said, one question....is it happening when you load ANY texture folder or just one? What happens if the texture folder is empty?

This will help identify if you have some strange textures that Easygen is choking on or if it's a more serious problem related to just opening a texture folder (even empty).

I'd be looking first at the textures themselves...their size and format, depending on the answer to my first question.

Doesnt matter if.....

folder is empty or not

texture is jpeg or any other format

all textures are 128X128 or higher

the eazygen program is in "programs" or in "anyother" folder on my computer

I have tried everything. Its weird.

I guess I wont use it. Sucks

Dunno. If I was troubleshooting it I'd:

1. Make sure video drivers are all new/latest versions.
2. Make sure DirectX is new and updated
3. Uninstall/reinstall the software.

May not help, but it's the first 3 logical steps to fixing the problem.

Sorry mate, none of that made a difference. Here is what I found out.

Ok, this is really weird.

It only likes 128X128 or 512X512. Not 256X256. You haft to have all textures the same size in the directory for it to work.

The naming scheme has to be filename.jpg even though the extension is .jpg under properties. So it looks like "rock3.jpg.jpg" Only then will it work.

So far I am running the program with these settings just fine.

The question if all my jpgs are the same format like "rgb" or "grayscale" doesnt make any difference.

I hope this proves useful for the next mapper having a hard time with easygen.
