so like i said.....when i compile and start the server.....i type in
my map name (and made sure pure was set to no :p) and when the little gray bar reaches the right side of the screen as in the loading is finished.....an error report comes up thats says cod/uo has encountered and error and now must close.....when the error report comes up it goes back to my desktop, which is really really bright when the game closes

Step one is to delete all the non-standard maps and mods, then post back with the results. May not fix it, but needs to be done to be sure you don't have issues with other downloads.

i did after i posted the log i went back and deleted all the dl'ed maps and mods
still gave me the same error

If you have a .gsc file try moving it out of the directory to see if you have a script issue or a map issue.

Are you sure you have all the mods out? (Including the AWE mods?)

Are you able to debug with developer 1 before starting the map?

I'm "assuming" that other maps are not causing UO to crash, only the map you're working on?

[ohwell]......i typed in developer 1...did the same thing, uo quit and went back to desk top.......didnt give me an error report

Developer 1 puts you in a debug mode when entered from the console; it can direct you to scripting errors, etc, when you're getting stubborn problems.

As a matter of course I need to recommend the latest video drivers, but if you're running other maps it's not likely (but its always good to cross driver issues off the list).

At this point the best I'd recommend is to back peddle on your map changes. Save with a different name, and delete the most recent changes to see if you can find the stubborn issue. Maybe someone else here has some first-hand experience with causing UO to crash that can offer some advice.

Final question is.....you can run other maps, right? Or are all maps causing UO to crash?

You added something into the map that needs the GSC file, or you created some entity that needs a script.
