was wondering is it possible to make a seperate main menu mod that resides in the main folder?

i want to have a button on the main menu that the client clicks and they would come straight to our server like the coduo menu mod.

hope this makes sense.

No, you cant have any mods in COD4 main menu like you could with previous COD games - they just arent detected by the game.

IW created a completely seperate division in the game for mods - the 'mod' folder. All mods run from there.

In COD4 mods, only certain files work in an IWD file, the rest have to be compiled into fastfile. Menu files are part of the list that have to be compiled.

If you go to the Openwarfare site and find their WebSVN (you must register to get the necessary site permissions needed to access it - then you will see a link for it at the top of the site), you can find their redirect code in the main.menu file which is free to download.

never mind, it don't matter i was mearly curious as it would of be a nice feature to have on the main menu for the client to just click a single piece of text that would load them directly into our server.
looks like the client will have to add the server to their favorites and join that way.

this can indeed be achieved, but like you said the mod has to reside in the mods folder.

All wrong - edit the main.menu file and you can have whatever you want in there....

It`s not even complicated, there are tuts all over the net
