I am working on a HL2:DM map that has several smokevolumes and dustclouds. The dustclouds do not seem to work at all, while the smokevolumes appear as a single square of sprites with the default purple and black texture against a wall. Can someone help me?

Change the func_smokevolume material to paritcle/smokestack or some think else in the texture window just type in smoke.
Have a look at this as I got the dustcloud to work it did kill my fps so you will have to play with that.

I fixed it. It turns out I had made one oddly shaped chunk of a wall func_detail so it wouldn't destroy Vis, intending to put a solid wall behind it later, but I had forgotten and ended up with a major leak.
