I've been building the layout to a map, just all in Caulk at the moment. At some point, in my used textures, a mystery texture has appeared and I cant seem to get rid of it. I've tried selecting every visible brush and re-clicking standard caulk, but the other texture is still in the used textures display.
Its name is:
clip_nosight_for_bridge_on_jeepride_fire_clip

Does anyone know why this might be happening, how I can get rid of it? Thnx in advance.

clip_nosight_for_bridge_on_jeepride_fire_clip has the same preview picture in the radiant, this happend to me once before...you could make a backup of your map (and maybe prefabs) and open it with a texteditor; then use the search and replace function and replace all instances of "clip_nosight_for_bridge_on_jeepride_fire_clip" with "caulk", that should do the trick...

Radiant has an inbuilt texture re-placer - misc>find and replace.

The jeepride clip has a number of properties to help with the ending sequence to COD4 where the bridge blows up so the designers didn't have to use a multitude of textures.

Thanks alot guys, the 'Find - Replace' tool is a very handy tool to know about. But it wont replace the bridge texture.
It will replace the Caulk with it, but not the other way around!?

Well, did you try to put the name of the texture in the first slot (Find) and Caulk in the second one (Replace) ?
Or press U to display a list of all textures in your map. Open Find/Replace and click in the first slot, then click on the jeepride texture in the texture panel (this way there is no need to write the name manually). Then click on the second slot and then click on Caulk.
If this texture is inside a prefab, select "Recurse into prefabs".
Click Replace. That should do it.

Thanks, yeah that is the way i did it. I tried it the other way around too, which replaced all the caulk with the bridge texture, removing all caulk. But when I do it the proper way around it apparently replaces all the bride texture with caulk, but used textures still displays the bridge texture as being used. I tried enabling force replacement, and (even tho there are none) the prefab option too.

Ok I think I know what the problem might be. When I was creating the map, I put in some simple arches (end caps) that dissapeared when I unselected them. I dont know if this is a common bug, but i didnt think abt it and moved on thinking they had simply not been built. But when i restarted my map today one of them re-appeared, so perhaps they are residing in my map somewhere invisible and unselectabe and it is they who have the bridge texture applied to them?
*They are not hidden with 'H' btw.
Does this sound like a common bug, any idea how I can get round it?

EDIT*
I did a simple 'I' invert selection to select everything, and applied Caulk, that has got rid of the texture. But Im still worried about the invisible patches mentioned above, is there any way to simply select all brushwork and paste into a new map or something? Some way that I can only select the things I can see..

Do you have any filters on ? Press F and make sure that all the checkboxes are checked, then see if those arches appear.
