Oblivion-Lost.com has a story up speculating that the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl has slipped until 2006. THQ responds with:

THQ's financial year runs from April 1st 2005 through to March 31st 2006. This is standard practise and widely known in the industry and business. There was no mention of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as we have already announced it many times in the investor relations announcements. We have no definitive release date yet for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. We do expect to have someannouncements, including a public demonstration this summer. More news to follow.

i been waiting on this game for so long.. since i see it on game-network. They should try to get a date really! Or they could atleast not make it look so good if we have to wait so long [lol]

It's good to see a production company holding it's cards close. I guess its out when its out. I just hate it when hopes are risen with the anouncment of a release date then dashed with the project being delayed in programming or QA.

It looks great, I just hope it will still be in date with the tech. Look at C&C Renegades, a game that was well past it's sell-by-date as soon as it was released. THQ have an excellent QA team and I have had experiance with games being rejected by THQ from the amount of bugs found that we thought were pretty bug free.

Oh well I'm babbling now LOL
