Hi there, CoDJumpers. I have a friend, AngryPreacher (add him on xfire), who is trying to get an xmodel in-game. He is able to get the model to compile correctly...etc, but cannot get the texture or "skin" that covers the gun to apply correctly. A pic is as follows:

He's a bit desperate now, he models and maps for CoD1 and UO, but has never done such for this game. Thank you in advance, Kyle Mulliger and Angry Preacher.

Open CoD2 Asset manager and create new material, then use my settings for Xmodel materials:

Material type: model phong
Surface type: whatever you wish (can't be )
Color map: image [aka. skin] in dds or tga formats.

You can also add detail, normal and speculars maps for DX9, and change various things like scrolling texture etc...

Then open Xmodel file in notepad and go to materials, you should find something like this:
Code:
NUMMATERIALS 1

MATERIAL 0 "bx_dbubble" "" "bx_dbubble.dds"
COLOR 0 0 0 0
TRANSPARENCY 0 0 0 0
AMBIENTCOLOR 0 0 0 0
INCANDESCENCE 0 0 0 0
COEFFS 0 0
GLOW 0 0
REFRACTIVE 0 0
SPECULARCOLOR 0 0 0 0
REFLECTIVECOLOR 0 0 0 0
REFLECTIVE 0 0
BLINN 0 0
PHONG 0

Lets see
Code:
MATERIAL 0 "bx_dbubble" "" "bx_dbubble.dds"

"bx_dbubble" is a material name used in game and "bx_dbubble.dds" is used for xmodel compilation.

Yeah it's a custom XModel. He's a modeler. His name is AngryPreacher, he made the RPK on BraX's mod. That apparently did not fix it, BraX. Any more ideas?
