I've released the map for about a month now but I thought I would share this video of the map and its features.



I have two other projects I'm working on as well and I'll try and get some videos for those maps as well.

The map look great and very detailled.
Just one thing, i think there is not enough brightness on the map to use a blue skybox.

i hope i ll dont hit the model limit with your map on my mod, would be a pleasure to test it ;)

Wow, that's amazing. I absolutely love the waterfall. Is that a stock FX ? Also the watermill looks great.

One question: I saw a 4-door white van. Is that a stock model ? I don't think I've ever seen it before.

Anyway, keep up the great work.

4-door white van is stock.
prefabs/misc_models/vehicle_pickup_4door.map

As for the waterfalls. They came from a stock fx, that I modified. Both waterfalls are a little different. Well, there are 3, but two of them are the same effect.
I either used one of the cargoship_sinking stock effects or some type of water gush, I don't remember what I used for the base.

I think the darkness you see is just the video. There are only a few dark spots indoors. I wanted the player to have to use the nightvision inside the houses in certain areas. My reason for the skybox and its color is only because of the fog I used. I wanted to match the Skybox and the ExpFog without having to edit the fog, yeah I know, I'm lazy.

Also if you are going to test it, there are "13" map Dvars so be sure you set the map up to have it how you want it. There is a config file included with instructions and what each one does. That is, if you don't like the default setup.

i have never really seen any cod4 maps that really amazed me but this... wow i really wish i could play cod4 i would be on this map all day thats how much i like it really great job id really like to see more of ur maps.

I appreciate that.

There are only two maps I really like and that was Citi Farm and Citi Badlands. Probably because I'm so critical. If I could go back I would fix up all the old maps and make them better.

Started mapping in March of 08'.

Hey thanks!

I think the effect that was edited for the waterfalls were "cargoship_sinking_gush_large.efx".

The texture of the river water I used was "wc/_default_water". And the texture of the water in the ravine was "wc/coup_water".
