Was wondering if we can get forum sections for Star Craft 2 and Natural Selection 2.

I personally don't intend on modding SC2, but I have been dabbling in NS2 and would be nice to collaborate with anyone else here who preOrdered and is working with the Spark Editor and tools provided by Unknown World Entertainment.

I will be doing a little work on both games so glad to help when/if i can.

Only thing is we don't want a load of forum section that nobody will use, such as OFP2, it's great to have but no one ever posts in it then it's little more than dead space, will SC2 have this problem?

No one mentioned Dead Space ... get it? haha... no? oh dear.

Natural Selection seems like a safe bet as Sparky showed me a video already of the tools and the method/controls look quite similar to Radiant so it won't be too much of a jump for the majority of members here.

By support do we mean help other people or just actively post in?

Their engine and pipeline infrastructure is easy to pick up once you understand it, and their level editor is Radiant-for-Dummies..

Over at the official NS2 forums people are making mods just changing fire spread and health bars and stuff like that thinking it's the next best thing, the par is set really low over at the dev forums IMO.

I'm no expert in Lua scripting so it'd be the blind leading the blind for a few weeks, but I think I am getting better at Lua -- currently working on a Galaga knock off using their assets. I'm not sure if I'm setting the bar low for myself too, but it's a fun game mode and is presenting a semi-easy challenge so I can learn how to use their script debugger and how Lua works.

But yeah, I would be happy to try and help people out where I can and even post my own projects.

I started work over the weekend on a Galaga knock-off mod, something a little different than what I've seen other people doing at the dev forum. It's in a proof of concept stage right now because I'm new to Lua (thanks to Decoda I feel I have a better grasp at the NS2 scripting language now) and wanted to see if it could be done before jumping head way into working on it.

Next I plan on getting the shooting gallery pathing and top-down wrap around. I was also thinking of decorating out the level to look like one of the corridors from NS2 maps and having enemies drop in not only from the top of the screen but through ventilations on the side walls as well, but that's later down the road on my priorities list.

I posted a video below, I don't know why but Fraps made it a lot darker than what it is, so I added some screenshots too. If you wach the video in HD fullscreen you'll have the best view.
