Fact remains, take away COD and this site is dead. Individuals like you or I have nothing to do with it. Its a cold hard fact of life.
Not a fact until it happens.
To be more precise, I expect the site to be more quiet. Dead indicates I will shut it down which is not in anyone's plans.

Although there is quite a bit of CoD stuff on this site, I don't anyone to think this site is shutting down if the whole series takes a dump. We'll pick up another set of travelers with another game. SoF is gone and that's where we started.

I would hasten to add that this site will always thrive as long as there are people who enjoy modding a POPULAR FPS. Be that COD or otherwise.

When I said that this site has existed for as long as it has for the past 5 years, I did not mean to imply it has been a bogus existance. All I wanted to make clear is that the attention the breakup and breakdown of IW has generated only refelects the passion people have in the COD series. Why else would we even care?

I predict that there will come along another FPS game which will steal away interest in games IW produce, in the same way that COD did with the MOH series. Whether that be a game produced by Respawn Entertainment, or another heir to the throne. All in all, its the moddability and populatrity of the game that will ensure the future of this site.

I agree this is really ModsonCOD and although I wouldn't like to see the community split I (at the moment source and modified Q3 and pretty easy to go between) I think the introduction of any new FPS game that presents new modding and mapping will do nothing but help this site thrive regardless if COD dies.

For as long as there are tutorials, for as long as there are mod tools, creativity and imagination,... there will be.... MODSONLINE.
