I'm having a little difficulty with Domination flag naming convention. I have no problem with the game play in its self as every thing works. (The tutorial is very easy to follow)
What I want to do is give each flag a little 'life' i.e. instead of (key)targetname (value) flag1_neutral (example taken from foy_mp).
The text from the foy gsc file reads:
flag1.description = (&"GMI_DOM_FLAG1_MP_FOY");
When the foy game is played and when flag one is captured the screen message reads flag such and such has been captured etc.

I have tried amending my gsc file to read:
flag1.description = (&"GMI_DOM_FLAG1_MYMAP");

When I test the game and when a flag is captured the screen returns:
Playername has captured (&"GMI_DOM_FLAG1_MYMAP")

With this I thought I was on the right track so I renamed the flag1.description to read for example:
Flag1.description = (&"crossroads");

When I run the game the flag capture sequence works fine but with no information of flag capture on the screen. I assume the '&' is part of the scripting or is everything within the brackets changed? Admittedly, I have not tried this yet without the '&' as I am getting bogged down a little with it all and am beginning to loose my thread.

Would appreciate any help with this in the most simplest of forms e.g. Domination Flag Naming for Dummies.

All that was required was to remove the '&' just leaving the description plus quotes inside the brackets.

so you just did

flag1.description = ("crossroads"); ? sounds like this should work as description is probably meant to hold a word or sentence argument.

I believe why the &"GMI_DOM_FLAG1_MapName"); doesnt work is because with foy they are referencing another file that has the information connected to the call whereas trying to use the same convention for yours, there is nothing for it to reference.

So basically in another file, not sure which, the would have GMI_DOM_FLAG1_MP_FOY = "description they want";
