i'm working on a club map and have the area where i want my music to play.
I have that part working...the music plays fine, however even with the max audible distance at 1024 and volume at 10 it stops playing when im 20 feet away from it with my back turned.
is there any settings i can use to get this to work properly?

i want to hear it loud throughout the whole room nomatter what direction im facing.

for this there is the option of playing sound everywhere, when i'm right than you can find it under the flags, (i don't have hammer open now but i'm pretty sure that it is there). this overrides the other distance. it's played troughout the whole map.

i dont want it through the whole map, i just want it in a specific area but what happens is i can be right near the speaker where its the loudest and turn a 180 and ...no sound.

place several speakers in the room so you can never turn your back to it and it wont go away

that's i also wanted to say, when you want sound in a big pice of the map but not the whole map than make use of severel ambient_generics. you just give them al the same values. the only thing that you have to look for is that they are at the right places because when the player has stereo sound than he can hear the soundsource by his left or right speaker.
