In my new map im creating, i have 30 xmodel fighters and 30 xmodel forcefields, however, when i run the map with just the fighters its fine, however with the fighters and the forcefields, when i build the ff it says Fastfile 1 of 2, "mp_outerspace": [ver. 5] process... Fastfile 1 of 2, "mp_outerspace": [ver. 5] process...link...compress...save...done.

Then in game, the fighters where there but the forcefields where not there, I thought about it being a model limit, so i tried it with 30 fighters as per usual and 4 forcefields, the Build ff ran fine and the fighters and forcefields where in the map, any help? [rolleyes]

I dunno, off the top of my head, is it perhaps a problem with the forcefield models? Are they there but not showing due to a problem with the UV wrapping?

Remember with model limits - the limit is 1000 unique models. You can have a hundred of the same model, not not a 100 different models. So, your fighters and forcefields count as 2 unique models - not 30 of one and 30 of the other.

Thats good then, they appear, but only if I have a small number of them, all of them together make 2 walls, but when i have all 30 i cant see them and they are not there, as the map isnt updating as shown in the Building of the ff, however when i use only a few the ff builds fine and the map updates and they appear. For example, if I put one forcefield in the middle of the map + the fighters anyway, then the map loads up and the forcefield is there, now if I add all 30, then remove that one from the middle of the map, when I load it after all the compiling, the 30 forcefields wont be there and the one in the middle still will be [duh]

Hmm i think ive got the problem... The forcefields join together to make a wall and therefore they need to be touching eachother, are xmodels allowed to touch? because if i move them apart (all 30 of them) the build ff and map is fine.. [puke]

xmodels can touch even merge with each other, we would be in a lot of trouble if they couldn't imagine placing grass.

Its all ok, ive done a new design where they dont touch, it's very wierd, when 8+ are joined together it all fails..... [banghead]
