For some tests I linked a cluster bomb to the bottom of a chopper (offset from tag_origin) which uses the same auto vehicle movement/rotation functions but with a user-controlled fly-in point. Choose using the normal map selector for a precision drop point, fly in, hover, drop bomb, and fly out. Maybe the bomb will drop mines when it explodes, dunno yet.

That part works great but the bomb using the 'linkto' function seems to stutter just a little while the chopper moves around automatically as it hovers. Is that normal side effect? Or am I missing something?

yeh tht happens. check mods where things are linked to other things. it always stutters

Yup tom is right, if you look at mods, for example _INSANE_'s AVP mod, the sticky grenade stick to the alien, but as the alien moves the grenade stutters. This is because when the model moves, slightly after this the other OBJECT in your case a bomb moves to its new location and so on.

Actually all i did was set the origin repeatedly..but its basically just the same... all jittery.
btw, kylee... its just INSANE. [tongue]

I was afraid of that. I have seen this before with some moving script models when they do not move along an axis. A rendering engine so-called 'optimization' Im sure with some very bad floating math rounding. Doing some things manually with vector math and such worked before so maybe I will try that again. Or maybe just make sure things move fast enough that people wont notice.
